S 1376 General Bill, By Peeler
    A Bill to amend Section 44-53-360, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the prescription of controlled substances, so as to provide when a prescription may be issued and to provide when a controlled substance may be dispensed without a prescription; and to amend Title 44, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the South Carolina Controlled Substances Act by adding Section 44-53-361, so as to provide the procedure for filing triplicate prescription forms for certain prescriptions, to provide the information required on triplicate prescription forms for controlled substances, to provide for the return of unused prescription forms to the Department of Health and Environmental Control, and to establish the period for which patient information is retained, by adding Section 44-53-362, so as to make it unlawful to dispense controlled substances inconsistently with this Article, and by adding Section 44-53-363, so as to allow practitioners to administer controlled substances during the regular course of their professional practice.
