A Bill to provide that the State Law Enforcement Division, upon the request of a public official or at the direction of the Chief if a threat of bodily harm has been made against the official or his immediate family, may provide protection to the official or his family for a period of not more than seventy-two hours and to provide that after a period of seventy-two hours, the protection may only be continued with the written approval of the Governor.
