H 2909 General Bill, By House Ethics
A Bill to amend Section 8-13-120, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to Ethics, so as to provide for the State Ethics Commission to make an investigation of statements filed with it with respect to violation of the Ethics Code by a candidate for public office or any person, to prohibit the Ethics Commission from disclosing the disposition of a complaint concerning a candidate for elective office thirty days prior to an election, to provide that the filing and all matters pertaining to a complaint are confidential unless waived in writing, and to provide a penalty.
