H 2999 General Bill, By R.A. Kohn
    A Bill to amend Chapter 1, Title 43, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the State Department of Social Services, by adding Section 43-1-105 so as to provide that whenever the Department takes a child into its custody as permitted by law without the consent of his parent or guardian and the parent or guardian successfully brings a legal action against the Department to regain custody, the Department is responsible for paying the court costs and reasonable attorney's fees of the parent or guardian.
