Summary: Provisions when continuing education courses not required for cosmetologists
AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 40-13-250, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO ANNUAL RENEWAL OF COSMETOLOGISTS' LICENSES AND THE REQUIREMENT THAT APPLICANTS COMPLETE CERTAIN CONTINUING EDUCATION, SO AS TO EXEMPT A PERSON WHO HAS HELD A LICENSE FOR AT LEAST FIFTEEN CONSECUTIVE YEARS AND IS SIXTY YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER OR HAS HELD CONTINUOUS LICENSURE FOR AT LEAST THIRTY YEARS, IS FIFTY YEARS OLD, AND WHO HAS NOT BEEN DISCIPLINED BY THE BOARD OF COSMETOLOGY FROM TAKING THE CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES; AND TO PROVIDE THAT, UPON APPROVAL BY THE BOARD, AN ATTENDANCE FORM MAY BE OBTAINED GIVING CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT FOR ATTENDANCE AT TRADE SHOW COSMETOLOGY-RELATED INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS. - ratified title
