A Bill to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 38-71-230 so as to require licensed health care providers to provide notification of their procedures for filing claims, require certain organizations providing health care to accept standardized claim forms, provide that a debtor must be notified by mail of the creditor's intentions of submitting a debt to a credit bureau or credit reporting agency, and provide a penalty for violation.
