A Bill to require deadbolt locks and security chains on the doors to certain leased or rented rooms, lodgings, and accommodations, to make the violation of this requirement a misdemeanor offense, to provide penalties, and to provide that every instance in which the required deadbolt lock and security chain are not provided constitutes a separate offense for the purposes of prosecution and conviction.
