A Bill to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 59-53-1885 so as to authorize a technical education commission serving the area within which a school district is located to provide vocational education training to the high school students of the district upon the request of the school district with the consent of the county governing body if the district does not have unlimited fiscal autonomy, to provide that funds generated from ad valorem property taxes for school purposes may be used to compensate the area technical education commission for providing this training, and to provide for certain reimbursement to the area technical education commission from the state based on the number of high school students attending such vocational training.
