A Bill to amend Section 59-26-20, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to duties of the State Board of Education and Commission on Higher Education concerning teacher training programs, so as to increase from three to four the number of times an undergraduate majoring in Education may take the Basic Skills Examination and provide conditions upon which the examination may be taken for the fourth time and to require that the test be administered at least twice yearly.
