PATTERSON, JR., HAS EXHIBITED OVER HIS LIFETIME FOR HIS STATE AND COUNTRY, CULMINATING IN HIS WORK AS THE STATE TREASURER OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND HIS PROMOTION TO THE RANK OF LIEUTENANT GENERAL OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA AIR NATIONAL GUARD.
