H 4484 General Bill, By J.L.M. Cromer and J.G. McAbee
    A Bill to amend Section 56-5-1520, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to traffic regulation, general rules as to maximum speed limits, the provision that lower speeds may be required crediting portions of certain fines to the State Highway Fund, and expenditure of those funds, so as to require the Department of Highways and Public Transportation to consider, with respect to the expenditure of the funds, only the need for additional state troopers and the upgrading of their salaries, rather than "first consider the need for additional highway patrolmen".
