    A Bill to amend Section 56-10-240, as amended, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the requirement that upon the loss of insurance, the insured shall obtain new insurance or have the vehicle's registration and licensing suspended and be required to surrender the registration and license plates on the vehicle, so as to delete certain reinstatement fees, and to provide that other reinstatement fees of the Section do not apply unless the Department of Highways and Public Transportation takes possession of the suspended license plates and registration certificate within thirty days of the date of suspension.
