    A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 23-1-225 OF THE 1976 CODE, RELATING TO ALLOWING RETIRED LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS TO RETAIN STATUS AND WEAPONS, TO PROVIDE THAT UPON RETIREMENT, MUNICIPAL AND COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ALSO MAY RETAIN THEIR STATUS AND WEAPONS, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF POWERS OF ARREST.
