A Concurrent Resolution congratulating the Furman University Football Team on a 13-2 season and winning the NCAA 1-AA National Championship after defeating Georgia Southern 17-12 in the title game; congratulating Coach Jimmy Satterfield on being named Kodak and Football News National Coach of the Year; and requesting the Department of Highways and Public Transportation to erect along all roads which presently have signs welcoming travelers into this State signs which recognize South Carolina as the home of the NCAA 1-AA National Football Champion, Furman University.
