A JOINT RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 24, ARTICLE V OF THE CONSTITUTION OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1895, RELATING TO THOSE CONSTITUTIONAL OFFICERS PROVIDED FOR THE ENFORCEMENT AND PROSECUTION OF THE CRIMINAL LAWS OF THIS STATE, ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS OF THE COURTS, THE AUTHORITY OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO PROVIDE FOR THEIR QUALIFICATIONS, DUTIES, AND COMPENSATION, AND THE AUTHORITY OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AS THE CHIEF PROSECUTING OFFICER OF THE STATE WITH SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY OVER THE PROSECUTION OF ALL CRIMINAL CASES IN COURTS OF RECORD, SO AS TO DELETE LANGUAGE PROVIDING THAT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL IS THE CHIEF PROSECUTING OFFICER OF THE STATE WITH AUTHORITY TO SUPERVISE THE PROSECUTION OF ALL CRIMINAL CASES IN COURTS OF RECORD.
