Summary: Licensed school counselors eligible for incentives received from gaining National Board Teaching certification
    A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-26-95 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT BEGINNING JULY 1, 2004, A LICENSED SCHOOL COUNSELOR WHO HAS MET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR AND ACQUIRED A NATIONAL CERTIFIED SCHOOL COUNSELOR (NCSC) ENDORSEMENT FROM THE NATIONAL BOARD OF CERTIFIED COUNSELORS AND WHO IS EMPLOYED AS A SCHOOL COUNSELOR BY A LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT ON A TEACHER SALARY SCHEDULE SHALL RECEIVE ALL INCENTIVES AND PRIVILEGES OFFERED TO INDIVIDUALS RECEIVING THE NATIONAL BOARD FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHING STANDARDS CERTIFICATION AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH THESE INCENTIVES AND PRIVILEGES SHALL BE CONTINUED.
