    A Bill to amend Chapter 1 of Title 23 Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to law enforcement and public safety by adding Section 23-1-240 so as to provide that a retiring state or local law enforcement officer or the surviving spouse or children of an officer who is killed in the line of duty may receive, upon request, the badge of the officer and to provide that the employer of the officer may also award to the retiring officer or his surviving spouse or children his service sidearm
