    A Bill to amend Chapter 1, Title 2, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 2-1-225 so as to prohibit a member of the General Assembly or a former member within two years of the end of his term from being elected to an office of honor or profit which the General Assembly elects for which a salary or compensation is provided by law in addition to a per diem allowance, a subsistence payment, or a reimbursement for other official expenses such as mileage, food, or lodging.
