A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT
THE DEATH OF LOYE W. MAYFIELD, SR., OF CHEROKEE
COUNTY AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND
MANY FRIENDS.
Whereas, Mr. Loye W. Mayfield, Sr., of Cherokee County died
September 19, 1991, at the age of seventy-eight; and
Whereas, he was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church and a retired
insurance agent with Life of Georgia; and
Whereas, he served on the board of directors for the Farm Bureau and
on the board of directors for the Mental Health Association and was an
associate with the Soil Conservation Commission; and
Whereas, he was an outstanding and beloved member of his community
who will be missed very much; and
Whereas, we want his family and many friends to know that they are in
our thoughts and have our sincerest sympathy. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this
resolution, expresses sorrow at the death of Mr. Loye W. Mayfield, Sr.,
of Cherokee County and extends sympathy to his family and many
friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
family of Mr. Mayfield, in care of his widow, Mrs. Leila Ball Mayfield,
2909 Union Highway, Gaffney.
