TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-380, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF PRECINCTS IN LEXINGTON COUNTY, SO AS TO REVISE THE NAMES OF CERTAIN PRECINCTS, TO REDESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER ON WHICH THE NAMES OF THESE PRECINCTS MAY BE FOUND AND MAINTAINED BY THE DIVISION OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD, AND TO CORRECT ARCHAIC LANGUAGE. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina: SECTION 1. Section 7-7-380 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 138 of 2010, is further amended to read: "Section 7-7-380. (B) The polling places of the various voting precincts in Lexington County must be designated by the Registration and Elections Commission for Lexington County. The precinct lines defining the precincts in subsection (A) are as shown on the official map prepared by and on file with the SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
