A SENATE RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SENATE AT THE DEATH OF CHARLES RAY MAYNOR, SR. OF GAFFNEY AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Charles Ray Maynor, Sr. of Gaffney died on Friday, March 11, 2005, at the age of seventy-nine; and

Whereas, Mr. Maynor was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Cowpens, South Carolina and a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; and

Whereas, he was known for his love and dedication to all of his family, including his wife, Patricia Palmer Maynor, his daughter and sonNext-in-law, Nikki and Trae Humphries; his Previousson, Charles Ray Maynor, Jr.; his stepson, Joel Winchester; his sister, Sadie Thompson; his five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and

Whereas, we want Mr. Maynor's family and his many friends to know he is in our thoughts and have our deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Mr. Charles Ray Maynor, Sr. of Gaffney and extend sympathy to his family and his many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Mr. Maynor.
