A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
EXPRESSING SORROW AT THE DEATH OF JOHN
DELLENEY "JOHNNY" LOVE OF COLUMBIA,
AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY
FRIENDS.
Whereas, John Delleney "Johnny" Love of Columbia
has died at the age of thirty-eight; and
Whereas, Johnny Love was president of Love Chevrolet Company
in Cayce and was the son of Nathan J. Love and John Anne
Delleney Love; and
Whereas, he was a graduate of General Motors Dealership
Management Academy in Detroit and past chairman of General
Motors Dealer Parts Council; and
Whereas, he was an avid sportsman, having been involved in fresh
and saltwater fishing, scuba diving, and snow skiing; and
Whereas, he was also a member of Kathwood Baptist Church in
Columbia; and
Whereas, he was an outstanding individual and businessman, and
we deeply regret the tragic and untimely circumstances of his death;
and
Whereas, we want the members of his family to know that they are
uppermost in our thoughts and have our deepest sympathy. Now,
therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate
concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this
resolution, expresses sorrow at the death of John Delleney
"Johnny" Love of Columbia and extends sympathy to
his family and many friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
the family of Johnny Love..
