 A Concurrent Resolution commending and congratulating the team members from
 South Carolina who have been selected by International Soccer USA to play in
 the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden and the Gold Coast Classic in Torbay,
 England.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE TEAM MEMBERS FROM SOUTH CAROLINA WHO HAVE BEEN SELECTED BY INTERNATIONAL SOCCER USA TO PLAY IN THE GOTHIA CUP IN GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN AND THE GOLD COAST CLASSIC IN TORBAY, ENGLAND.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were delighted to learn that a select group of young men, under the age of twelve, have been selected and recognized as the brightest of the bright and the best of the best in American Soccer; and

Whereas, they have brought national and international recognition to the State of South Carolina and will be viewed as they play in Sweden and England by the finest soccer players in the world; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly wish them to know that they carry with them the best wishes and support as they go forward to represent us abroad; and

Whereas, these members are Mr. Rudolph Paul "R.P." Benik III and Mr. James Reeves Skeen, both of Myrtle Beach, and Mr. Scott Powell of Summerville; and

Whereas, they will be accompanied by their Coach Paul Benik, who is well known by many members of the General Assembly and recognized in his work in soccer throughout the State of South Carolina; and

Whereas, these young men will carry the name of the Palmetto State far and wide as they are recognized as the best in the world in Under 12 Soccer; and

Whereas, we wish them continued success in all that they do and thank them for their untiring efforts in promoting soccer and promoting good will between the State of South Carolina and the many nations of the world involved in the sport of soccer. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commend and congratulate the team members from South Carolina who have been selected by International Soccer USA to play in the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden and the Gold Coast Classic in Torbay, England.

Be it further resolved that copies of this resolution be forwarded to Coach Paul Benik, Mr. Rudolph Paul "R.P." Benik III, Mr. James Reeves Skeen, and Mr. Scott Powell.
