TO THE WACCAMAW HIGH SCHOOL "WARRIORS" ON WINNING THE 1999 CLASS A STATE GOLF
CHAMPIONSHIP.

A HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO EXTEND CONGRATULATIONS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO THE WACCAMAW HIGH SCHOOL "WARRIORS" ON WINNING THE 1999 CLASS A STATE GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP.
Whereas, the House of Representatives is pleased to recognize Waccamaw High School on capturing the Class A State Golf Championship; and
Whereas, this state championship is the school's first team sport state title, and while achieving this victory, Waccamaw also collected seven individual state titles; and
Whereas, the team played outstanding golf to defeat Ware Shoals, Johnsville, and Christ Church which had held the title three years running; and
Whereas, the "Warriors" completed the state tournament with a total score of 596, thirteen strokes ahead of second place and seventeen above the third place team; and
Whereas, under the guidance and leadership of Coach Frank Cegledy, the Warrior players Richard Cox, Justin Braddy, Alex Strange, Clark Truluck, Ryan Hart, John Ross, and Megan Miller are to be commended for their fine athletic ability, determination, hardwork, and perseverance; and
Whereas, capturing the first state team sport title for Waccamaw High School has brought much pride and recognition to the school, their community, and the State. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, extend their congratulations to the Waccamaw High School "Warriors" on winning the 1999 Class A State Golf Championship.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Waccamaw High School "Warriors" Golf Team and Coach Frank Cegledy.
