 HARTSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL, AND ONE OF THIS STATE'S GREATEST HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL
 COACHES, ON THE OCCASION OF HIS FIVE HUNDREDTH WIN.

TO CONGRATULATE JIMMY WHITE, HEAD BASEBALL COACH AT HARTSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL, AND ONE OF THIS STATE'S GREATEST HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL COACHES, ON THE OCCASION OF HIS FIVE HUNDREDTH WIN.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are very pleased to learn that Jimmy White, head baseball coach at Hartsville High School, recently won his five hundredth game; and

Whereas, Jimmy White is one of the finest high school baseball coaches this State has ever produced, and there are only five other coaches in this State who have won more games than Coach White; and

Whereas, he is a native of Hartsville and graduated from Hartsville High School and Newberry College. In 1989 he received his Master's Degree in Sports Coaching from the United States Sports Academy in Alabama; and

Whereas, after finishing college at Newberry, Coach White returned to Hartsville to teach and coach, and in addition to his outstanding success on the diamond, he is also a very fine teacher who presently teaches United States history at Hartsville High School; and

Whereas, in his association with the baseball program at Hartsville for the last twenty-seven years, he has conducted himself in a manner that brings credit not only to himself and his family but to his school, county, and State as well; and

Whereas, Jimmy White is married to Rita Gainey and they are the proud parents of two children, Shannon McInville and Bill; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to recognize and congratulate this outstanding coach and fine man upon the occasion of his five hundredth win. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly congratulate Jimmy White, head baseball coach at Hartsville High School, and one of this state's greatest high school baseball coaches, on the occasion of his five hundredth win.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coach Jimmy White.
