 BISHOP ENGLAND HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER TEAM OF CHARLESTON UPON WINNING THE
 CLASS AA-A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE SATURDAY, MAY 11, 2002, AND TO WISH THEM
 EVERY SUCCESS IN THEIR FUTURE ATHLETIC AND ACADEMIC ENDEAVORS.

A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND AND CONGRATULATE THE COACHES AND MEMBERS OF THE BISHOP ENGLAND HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER TEAM OF CHARLESTON UPON WINNING THE CLASS AA-A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE SATURDAY, MAY 11, 2002, AND TO WISH THEM EVERY SUCCESS IN THEIR FUTURE ATHLETIC AND ACADEMIC ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives applaud the coaches and young ladies of the Bishop England High School Girls Soccer Team on winning the 2002 Class AA-A Girls Soccer Championship with a remarkable 3-2 overtime victory over Christ Church Episcopal School at Memorial Stadium, Columbia, on Saturday, May 11, 2002; and

Whereas, the "Bishops" have played in the state championship ten times in eleven years since the South Carolina High School League sanctioned the sport; and

Whereas, this year's talented and triumphant team was led to victory by Coach Jim Hinchey and had a winning season with a record of 18-5-2 for the season; and

Whereas, the championship "Bishops" soccer team played with finesse and determination throughout the season and especially in the overtime championship game with Christ Church. "This group is extremely talented," Coach Hinchey said of his young team. "If they continue to train hard and maintain their intensity, the future is bright."; and

Whereas, the House of Representatives sincerely congratulates the coaches and members of the Bishop England High School Class AA-A State Championship Girls Soccer Team on their outstanding season and spectacular championship win. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend and congratulate the coaches and members of the Bishop England High School Girls Soccer Team of Charleston upon winning the Class AA-A State Championship title Saturday, May 11, 2002, and to wish them every success in their future athletic and academic endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coach Jim Hinchey on behalf of the 2002 Bishop England High School Class AA-A State Championship Girls Soccer Team of Charleston.
