 A HOUSE RESOLUTION TO CONGRATULATE THE CHERAW HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM ON ITS
 OUTSTANDING WIN OF THE STATE AA FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP, AND TO HONOR THE
 PLAYERS AND THEIR COACH JOHNNY WHITE, ON AN EXCEPTIONAL SEASON.

TO CONGRATULATE THE CHERAW HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM ON ITS OUTSTANDING WIN OF THE STATE AA FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP, AND TO HONOR THE PLAYERS AND THEIR COACH JOHNNY WHITE, ON AN EXCEPTIONAL SEASON.

Whereas, excellence in football demands individual strength, agility, and skill, as well as team play and good sportsmanship; and

Whereas, using those talents and attributes, Coach Johnny White and the members of the Cheraw High School Football Team capped an incredible season by winning the State AA Football Championship; and

Whereas, despite having to replace 23 seniors and the entire offensive line, the young team proved undeniably able to rise to the challenge, celebrating an undefeated season and outscoring opponents by nearly 30 points a game; and

Whereas, thriving under the leadership of its truly extraordinary Coach Johnny White, the Cheraw Braves Football Team has an overall record of 70-24 and has won 10 games in four of his seven seasons as coach; and

Whereas, dominating opponents in its undefeated season, the team earned victories against many formidable foes, including Marlboro County High School, Darlington High School, Chesterfield High School, Marion High School, Lamar High School, and Central High School; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives take great pride in commending the young men of the Cheraw High School Football Team for their tireless efforts and great determination in this banner season and recognize them for this wonderful accomplishment. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate the Cheraw High School Football Team on its outstanding win of the State AA Football Championship, and honor the players and their Coach Johnny White, on an exceptional season.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the school officials, athletes, and coaches of the Cheraw High School Football Team.
