 "Cavaliers" boys football team of Richland County on winning the Class AAAA,
 Division II State Football Championship for 1993, and allow the team and
 coaches the privilege of the floor of the House of Representatives on
 Wednesday, January 26, 1994, at a time to be determined by the Speaker.

A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE RICHLAND NORTHEAST HIGH SCHOOL "CAVALIERS" BOYS FOOTBALL TEAM OF RICHLAND COUNTY ON WINNING THE CLASS AAAA, DIVISION II STATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 1993, AND ALLOW THE TEAM AND COACHES THE PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 26, 1994, AT A TIME TO BE DETERMINED BY THE SPEAKER.

Whereas, the Richland Northeast High School "Cavaliers" Football Team of Richland County recently captured the Class AAAA, Division II State Football Championship for 1993; and

Whereas, the "Cavaliers" won a hard fought overtime victory against previously undefeated Hartsville by a score of 30 to 24; and

Whereas, this fantastic come-from-behind victory crowned the unbelievable 1993 season with a heart-stopping interception by sophomore linebacker Ryan Kendall which secured the win; and

Whereas, led by its fine Head Coach Joe Wingard, the team arose to the occasion with its tough perseverance; and

Whereas, the Richland Northeast Football Team has added another chapter in its rich school history epitomized by its never-say-quit attitude. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates the Richland Northeast "Cavaliers" Football Team of Richland County on winning the Class AAAA, Division II State Football Championship.

Be it further resolved that the team and its coaches be granted the privilege of the floor of the House of Representatives at a time to be determined by the Speaker on Wednesday, January 26, 1994, for the purpose of being recognized and congratulated.

Be it further resolved that copies of this resolution be forwarded to Joe Wingard, Head Coach and to Ron Hill, Principal of Richland Northeast High School.
