A Bill to amend Chapter 13, Title 7, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976,
relating to the Constitutional Ballot Commission and the explanation of
proposed statewide constitutional amendments prepared by this Commission by
adding Section 7-13-2125 so as to provide that the Ballot Commission shall
prepare statements of the advantages and disadvantages of proposed statewide
amendments, to provide that the Election Commission shall place these
statements on the ballot, and provide for input to the Ballot Commission in
regard to suggested wording of these statements from members of the General
Assembly who are in favor of or opposed to the amendment.
