A Bill to amend Section 38-35-90, as amended, Code of Laws of South Carolina,
1976, relating to discrimination in the rates charged and benefits of accident
and health insurance policies, so as to provide that if such a policy provides
for the payment of benefits for any service which is within the scope of
practice of a licensed chiropractor, the insured or other person entitled to
benefits shall receive payment or reimbursement therefor in accordance with
the usual and customary fee for these services notwithstanding any provision
of the policy to the contrary.
