A JOINT RESOLUTION TO DECLARE "THE CAROLINA CHILI CHALLENGE" IN FORT MILL IN YORK COUNTY AS THE OFFICIAL CHILI COOK-OFF FOR THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA FOR THE YEAR 1983.

Whereas, Fort Mill in York County will celebrate for the first time in April, 1983, "The Carolina Chili Challenge"; and

Whereas, the good people of Fort Mill expect "The Carolina Chili Challenge" to become a lasting, annual event; and

Whereas, the General Assembly likewise hopes that "The Carolina Chili Challenge" becomes an annual affair which provides enjoyment for all the citizens of this State. Now, therefore,Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Carolina Chili Challenge declared official cook-off

SECTION 1. The "Carolina Chili Challenge" in Fort Mill in York County is declared the official chili cook-off for the State of South Carolina for the year 1983.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
