A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE MRS. MARJORIE STOKES UPON HER
RETIREMENT AFTER TEACHING MORE THAN TWENTY-THREE
YEARS IN THE OCONEE COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM AND TO
WISH HER WELL IN HER RETIREMENT.
Whereas, Mrs. Marjorie Stokes of Oconee County is retiring the end of
this school year from the Oconee County school system; and
Whereas, Mrs. Stokes is retiring after teaching twenty-three and one-half
years at Westminster High School and West-Oak High School; and
Whereas, she is well-known throughout the State for her musical
extravaganzas; and
Whereas, she has faithfully served her students and community as a
teacher of music and remedial reading. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the General Assembly, by this resolution, recognizes Mrs. Marjorie
Stokes upon her retirement after teaching more than twenty-three years
in the Oconee County school system and wishes her well in her
retirement.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs.
Marjorie Ussery Stokes, 215 Southwest First Street, Seneca, South
Carolina 29678.
