A Concurrent Resolution to recognize Mrs. Joan Fisher Broome of Richland
County upon her retirement from the South Carolina Employment Security
Commission where she has worked for thirty-three years and to wish her well as
she enjoys her years of retirement.

A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE MRS. JOAN FISHER BROOME OF RICHLAND
COUNTY UPON HER RETIREMENT FROM THE SOUTH
CAROLINA EMPLOYMENT SECURITY COMMISSION WHERE
SHE HAS WORKED FOR THIRTY-THREE YEARS AND TO WISH
HER WELL AS SHE ENJOYS HER YEARS OF RETIREMENT.
Whereas, Mrs. Joan Fisher Broome of Richland County is retiring from
the South Carolina Employment Security Commission where she has
worked for thirty-three years; and
Whereas, Mrs. Broome has been a dedicated employee and held several
supervisory positions; and
Whereas, she received the Agency Improvement Suggestion Annual
Award, is a member of the International Association of Personnel
Employment Security Commission, and headed the Distress
Unemployment Assistant Payment Program formulated as a result of
Hurricane Hugo; and
Whereas, Mrs. Broome has been commended on numerous occasions for
her recommendations within the Benefits Division regarding a reduction
in the work force and an increase in the work load at the commission;
and
Whereas, as a member of the Palmetto Painters, the Circle at Colonial
Heights Baptist Church, and the Computer Club, Mrs. Broome will
remain active away from the commission. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly recognize Mrs. Joan Fisher
Broome of Richland County upon her retirement from the South
Carolina Employment Security Commission where she has worked for
thirty-three years and wish her well as she enjoys her years of retirement.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs.
Broome.
