YEARS OF DEDICATED AND EXCELLENT SERVICE TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF
INSURANCE AND STATE GOVERNMENT AND WISHING HIM HAPPINESS FOLLOWING HIS
RETIREMENT.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
COMMENDING AND THANKING CECIL W. THOMAS FOR HIS
MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED AND EXCELLENT SERVICE
TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE
AND STATE GOVERNMENT AND WISHING HIM HAPPINESS
FOLLOWING HIS RETIREMENT.
Whereas, Cecil W. Thomas began working for state government in
1968 and commenced state service with the South Carolina
Department of Insurance in 1971; and
Whereas, Mr. Thomas became Deputy Director for Solvency,
Licensing and Taxation Services at the Department of Insurance after
state government was restructured several years ago; and
Whereas, he is retiring March 13, 1997; and
Whereas, he has been an outstanding, dedicated, and efficient public
servant and his efforts and services in state government are greatly
appreciated; and
Whereas, we are pleased to have this opportunity to recognize and
thank him in this special way. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate
concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this
resolution, commends and thanks Cecil W. Thomas for his many
years of dedicated and excellent service to the South Carolina
Department of Insurance and state government and wishes him
happiness following his retirement.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Mr. Thomas.
