Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are proud to have
this opportunity to recognize Arnold S. Goodstein II, an outstanding
seventh grade student at Alston Middle School in Summerville, on
winning the State PTO Overall Reflections Literature Competition

Whereas, Arnold competed against students of all ages and was
selected as the overall winner with a poem he wrote entitled It
Could Happen; and
Whereas, he is the son of former Senator Arnold S. Goodstein, our
dear friend and distinguished former colleague in the General
Assembly; and
Whereas, Arnold is an excellent student having made only one B in

him, as are his classmates, his teachers, and, indeed, all South
Carolinians, and we are pleased to have this opportunity to accord
him the special recognition which he has so greatly merited. Now,
therefore,
