 A Bill to amend Article 1 of Chapter 17 of Title 31, Code of Laws of South
 Carolina, 1976, relating to the Uniform Standards Code for Mobile Homes Act,
 so as to provide that the Act conforms to Federal Laws and Regulations; to
 change definitions and add additional ones; to transfer all powers of the
 State Fire Marshal to the South Carolina Manufactured Housing Board; to change
 the dates when manufactured homes which do not conform to the Act shall not be
 sold; to provide for a monitoring inspection fee; to add an additional member
 to the Board from the general public; to provide for an administrative hearing
 officer and an administrative penalty; to provide additional powers and duties
 for the Board; to provide for additional penalties and to correct ambiguities
 concerning licensing and enforcement provisions.
