 SALUTING THEM FOR THEIR MANY CONTRIBUTIONS TO THEIR COMMUNITY, AND WISHING
 THEM MANY MORE YEARS OF HAPPINESS TOGETHER.

A SENATE RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING PreviousANNENext AND MATTHEW GOYAK OF GEORGETOWN ON THE JOYOUS OCCASION OF THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING PreviousANNIVERSARYNext, RECOGNIZING AND SALUTING THEM FOR THEIR MANY CONTRIBUTIONS TO THEIR COMMUNITY, AND WISHING THEM MANY MORE YEARS OF HAPPINESS TOGETHER.

Whereas, PreviousAnneNext Goyak, formerly PreviousAnneNext Taylor of Williamsburg County, and Matthew Goyak of Georgetown were married on January 28, 1950; and

Whereas, PreviousAnneNext Goyak worked many years as a nurse and is retired from the First Aid Department at International Paper Company in Georgetown; and

Whereas, Matthew Goyak, the son of the late Matthew and Pauline Goyak, served in the United States Navy during World War II, played semi-professional baseball, and is retired from Georgetown Recreation Department, where he received numerous awards; and

Whereas, Matthew Goyak is one of three founders of Dixie Youth Baseball for which he was awarded the Order of the Palmetto by Governor David Beasley; and

Whereas, PreviousAnneNext and Matthew Goyak are the parents of three children, Linda Tomlinson, Matthew Goyak, Jr., and Karen Rosser, and are faithful members of St. Mary's Catholic Church; and

Whereas, this happy couple will celebrate their fiftieth wedding PreviousanniversaryNext on January 29, 2000, at the Base Recreation Center in Myrtle Beach, where they will be joined by family, loved ones, and friends. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate, by this resolution, congratulate PreviousAnneNext and Matthew Goyak of Georgetown on the joyous occasion of their fiftieth wedding PreviousanniversaryNext, recognize and salute them for their many contributions to their community, and wish them many more years of happiness together.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to PreviousAnne and Matthew Goyak of Georgetown.
