 ITS COMMUNITY, STATE, AND NATION.

TO CONGRATULATE THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 52 OF EASLEY, SOUTH CAROLINA FOR EARNING THE NATIONAL COMMANDERS POST EXCELLENCE AWARD FOR 2018-2019 AND TO COMMEND THE POST FOR ITS MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO ITS COMMUNITY, STATE, AND NATION.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to learn that The American Legion Post 52 of Easley, South Carolina will receive the National Commanders Post Excellence Award for 2018-2019 at a presentation by the National Commander Bill Oxford on March 4, 2020 at the Marriott Hotel in Columbia; and

Whereas, to receive this award, Post 52 met a number of criteria, including attaining 103% of its membership goal; having at least one officer from the post attend all district meetings; sending in its Consolidated Post Report, which is a comprehensive report of all post activities during a certain time period; renewing at least 90% of the members that were on its 2018 roster; and conducting an event that connected the local community with the post; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate greatly appreciate the service of The American Legion Post 52 to the community of Easley, to the State of South Carolina, and to the United States of America. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate The American Legion Post 52 of Easley, South Carolina for earning the National Commanders Post Excellence Award for 2018-2019 and commend the post for its many years of dedicated service to its community, state, and nation.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to The American Legion Post 52 of Easley, South Carolina.
