A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
CONGRATULATING THE HONORABLE SAMUEL FOSTER OF
YORK COUNTY, OUR DISTINGUISHED FORMER COLLEAGUE
IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND OUR GOOD FRIEND, UPON
HIS INDUCTION INTO THE MORRIS COLLEGE ATHLETIC HALL
OF FAME.
Whereas, the Honorable Samuel Foster, our distinguished former
colleague and our good friend, served in the House of Representatives
from York County for more than ten years; and
Whereas, Sam was an outstanding legislator and a leader on many fronts
to provide good government to the people of this great State; and
Whereas, he now serves with distinction as a member of the South
Carolina Employment Security Commission, where he is the vice
chairman; and
Whereas, on April 15, 1994, he is to be inducted into the Morris College
Athletic Hall of Fame at the college's Hall of Fame banquet in Sumter
in recognition of his stellar athletic achievements and contributions to
his alma mater; and
Whereas, we are very proud of Sam in being so honored by this
outstanding institution of higher education, and we share in the joy of
this splendid occasion. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South
Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate the Honorable Samuel Foster
of York County, our distinguished former colleague and our good friend,
on his induction into the Morris College Athletic Hall of Fame.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
Honorable Samuel Foster.
