A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO HONOR AND RECOGNIZE SUZANNE CULP OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES UPON HER RETIREMENT ON MARCH, 31, 2004, AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES TO HER IN ALL OF HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, it is with great pleasure that we recognize South Carolinians who are dedicated to giving their time and energy to helping build a sense of togetherness and support among the people of this great State; and

Whereas, it is appropriate to recognize the great achievements of the people who serve in state agencies and on boards and commissions to ensure the ongoing development of the Palmetto State; and

Whereas, Suzanne Culp began working for the Department of Social Services on July 1, 1971, and has been working for the State of South Carolina for more than thirty-two years; and

Whereas, currently working for the Medicaid Eligibility Department of the Department of Health and Human Services, Ms. Culp had been one of the state's most dedicated employees; and

Whereas, with her warm heart and smiling face, Ms. Culp lights up any room she enters and her service to the State and its agencies has been unparalleled; and

Whereas, through hard work and dedication, Ms. Culp has left her mark on all those who worked with her over the past thirty-two years at both the Department of Social Services and the Department of Health and Human Services; and

Whereas, upon her retirement on March 31, 2004, Ms. Culp will be remembered for the time and energy she put into her work and her presence will be sorely missed. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly honor and recognize Suzanne Culp of the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services upon her retirement on March 31, 2004, and extend best wishes to her in all of her future endeavors.
