AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 40-79-30, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE MEANING OF "ALARM SYSTEM BUSINESS" FOR PURPOSE OF REGULATION, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THIS TERM DOES NOT INCLUDE AN ELECTRIC SUPPLIER, ELECTRICAL UTILITY, OR MUNICIPALITY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
"Alarm system business", does not mean electric supplier, etc.
SECTION 1. Section 40-79-30(B) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 15 of 1993, is further amended by adding:
"(9) an `electric supplier' as described in Section 58-27-610, `electrical utility' as described in Section 58-27-10, or municipality."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
