Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Chapter 78, Title 38 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

    "Section 38-78-55.    No clause in a service PreviouscontractNext which states that the term of the PreviouscontractNext shall be deemed renewed for a specified additional period, unless the service PreviouscontractNext holder gives notice to the provider of his intention to terminate the PreviouscontractNext at the expiration of the term, shall be enforceable against the service Previouscontract holder."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
