To whom was referred a Bill (H. 4309), to repeal Section 9-1-1537, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the retirement of sworn law enforcement officers, etc., respectfully

REPORT:

That they have duly and carefully considered the same, and recommend that the same do pass:

STATEMENT OF ESTIMATED FISCAL IMPACT

1. Estimated Cost to State-First Year $-0-

2. Estimated Cost to State-Annually

Thereafter $-0-

H. 4309 would repeal Section 9-1-1537 of the 1976 Code which requires S.C. Highway Patrol Officers to retire no later than the end of the fiscal year during which they obtain the age of sixty-two.

There would be no cost to the General Fund of the State or to the S.C. Retirement System. Cost, if any, associated with this Bill would accrue to the Highway Fund.

A BILL

TO REPEAL SECTION 9-1-1537, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE RETIREMENT OF SWORN LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY PATROL.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 9-1-1537 of the 1976 Code is repealed.

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
