 "Yellow Jackets" mens tennis team of York County and its coach for a truly
 outstanding season by winning the 1995 Class AAA State Championship.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXTEND THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO THE FORT MILL HIGH SCHOOL "YELLOW JACKETS" MENS TENNIS TEAM OF YORK COUNTY AND ITS COACH FOR A TRULY OUTSTANDING SEASON BY WINNING THE 1995 CLASS AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are very pleased to learn that the Fort Mill High School "Yellow Jackets" Mens Tennis Team, for the second year in a row, has captured the 1995 State Class AAA Championship; and

Whereas, the "Yellow Jackets" faced the daunting task of playing Lower State champion Dreher (17-2) on their home court; and

Whereas, after one and one-half hours of jawclinching, white-knuckle tennis, Fort Mill High's team beat Dreher 4 to 1 in the South Carolina Class AAA finals at Caughman Road Tennis Center in Columbia; and

Whereas, the accomplishments of the "Yellow Jackets" this year again show that Coach Willie Ware is one of the finest tennis coaches in South Carolina; and

Whereas, the 1995 State Class AAA Championship is indicative of the dedication, hard work, and determination of each of the members of this outstanding team and its very capable coach; and

Whereas, the success of the "Yellow Jackets" has brought great pride and recognition not only upon Fort Mill High School and its loyal and enthusiastic students and supporters, but also to the State of South Carolina as well; and

Whereas, we, the members of the General Assembly are very proud of the accomplishments of this special caliber of athletes and their coach. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate the Fort Mill High School "Yellow Jackets" Mens Tennis Team for winning the 1995 Class AAA State Championship.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coach Willie Ware and to Jim Boyette, Principal of Fort Mill High School.
