Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Geraldine Locklair Rollins on April 27, 2008; and

Whereas, during World War II, she contributed to the war effort by working at the Charleston Naval Shipyard, and later worked for many years in the office at the Kendall Company in Bethune; and
Whereas, Geraldine Rollins was married to her beloved husband, the late Louis L. "Knocker" Rollins, and reared four fine children: Louis "Bud" Rollins, George Rollins, Linda Rollins Jordan, and Karen Rollins McPherson. She also enjoyed the love of a host of adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
Whereas, Jerry was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Bishopville, and she lovingly used her home to watch out for and feed neighborhood children and to help others with a home-cooked meal whenever she saw a need; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives pause in their deliberations to express their sincere sympathy upon the death of Geraldine Locklair Rollins and to honor her memory. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
