A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
TO EXPRESS THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE FAMILY OF MRS. FRANCES
DUCWORTH LYLES OF ANDERSON UPON HER DEATH.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were deeply saddened
to learn of the recent death of Mrs. Frances Ducworth Lyles of
Anderson; and
Whereas, Mrs. Lyles was a native of Anderson, the widow of the late
William Lawrence Lyles, and is survived by her son , William Lawrence
Lyles, Jr., of Anderson, and three grandchildren; and
Whereas, Mrs. Lyles was an integral part of the Anderson community
and was loved and admired by all those with whom she came in contact
and especially by her fellow members of the Gleaners Sunday School
Class; and
Whereas, with the death of this fine lady, the people of Anderson have
lost a dedicated homemaker and mother, a public-spirited citizen, and a
good friend; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution,
would like to extend their sincere condolences to her son and other
members of her family in this time of sorrow. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly express their deepest
sympathy to the family of Mrs. Frances Ducworth Lyles of Anderson
upon her death.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to her
son, William L. Lyles, Jr.
