 SUCCESS AS HE LEAVES SUMTER COUNTY TO BECOME THE PRINCIPAL OF THE BLUE EAGLE
 ACADEMY IN THE CLOVER SCHOOL DISTRICT.

TO CONGRATULATE DR. NORRIS L. WILLIAMS, ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOL EXCELLENCE AND LEADERSHIP FOR THE SUMTER SCHOOL DISTRICT, FOR HIS YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE THERE AND TO WISH HIM CONTINUED SUCCESS AS HE LEAVES SUMTER COUNTY TO BECOME THE PRINCIPAL OF THE BLUE EAGLE ACADEMY IN THE CLOVER SCHOOL DISTRICT.

Whereas, Dr. Norris L. Williams will assume his duties as principal of the Blue Eagle Academy in Clover after two years of service to the Sumter School District; and

Whereas, to prepare for his career in education, Dr. Williams completed studies and graduated from South Carolina State University with honors, Winthrop University, and Converse College. He completed his doctoral studies at Gardner Webb University; and

Whereas, before moving to Sumter to serve as the Assistant Superintendent of School Excellence and Leadership, he served as the principal of Dutchman Creek Middle School in Rock Hill for eleven years and has held several executive offices for the State of South Carolina. He has been honored as the South Carolina Principal of the Year and the Administrator of the Year for the South Carolina Music Association; and

Whereas, he enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, working in his yard, and spending time with his beloved wife Serena Williams and their two sons, Norris and Noble; and

Whereas, grateful for his creative leadership style and ability to create strong academic and social support systems for students that will surely be missed in Sumter County, the House of Representatives is pleased that he will continue his service as an educator in the Palmetto State and wish him well as he brings his talents and expertise to the Clover School District and provides those students with multiple opportunities to find their strengths and passions. Now, therefore,

Be is resolved by the House of Representatives:

That Dr. Norris L. Williams, Assistant Superintendent of School Excellence and Leadership for the Sumter School District, be congratulated for his years of outstanding service there and wished continued success as he leaves Sumter County to become the principal of the Blue Eagle Academy in the Clover School District.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Dr. Norris L. Williams.
