A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE JEFF RODGERS OF GREENWOOD ON HIS OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN PROFESSIONAL WATER-SKIING BY BECOMING THE NEW WORLD RECORD HOLDER IN MEN'S SLALOM.

Whereas, Jeff Rodgers of Greenwood is an accomplished athlete in the sport of professional water-skiing in which he has achieved what most athletes in this sport are only able to dream of, that of becoming the new world record holder in men's slalom; and

Whereas, Jeff Rodgers was officially certified as a world record holder by the International Water-Ski Federation after being the first man to ever run a complete pass of six buoys at 10.25 meters; and

Whereas, Jeff Rodgers turned professional as a teenager and has since established himself as a leader on the national and international water-ski circuit. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, publicly congratulate and recognize Jeff Rodgers on becoming the new world record holder in men's slalom and for his outstanding achievement in professional water-skiing.
