OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN PROFESSIONAL WATER-SKIING BY BECOMING THE NEW WORLD
RECORD HOLDER IN MEN'S SLALOM.

A SENATE RESOLUTION
TO CONGRATULATE JEFF RODGERS OF GREENWOOD ON
HIS OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN PROFESSIONAL
WATER-SKIING BY BECOMING THE NEW WORLD RECORD
HOLDER IN MEN'S SLALOM.
Whereas, Jeff Rodgers of Greenwood is an accomplished athlete in
the sport of professional water-skiing in which he has achieved what
most athletes in this sport are only able to dream of, that of becoming
the new world record holder in men's slalom; and
Whereas, Jeff Rodgers was officially certified as a world record
holder by the International Water-Ski Federation after being the first
man to ever run a complete pass of six buoys at 10.25 meters; and
Whereas, Jeff Rodgers is a lifelong water-skier who learned his basic
techniques after spending long and grueling days of practice on Lake
Greenwood perfecting his skill; and
Whereas, Jeff Rodgers turned professional as a teenager and has since
established himself as a leader on the national and international
water-ski circuit. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by
this resolution, publicly congratulate and recognize Jeff Rodgers on
becoming the new world record holder in men's slalom and for his
outstanding achievement in professional water-skiing.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Mr. Jeff Rodgers.
