 SENATE TO DAVID L. BALL OF BALLENTINE, SOUTH CAROLINA, IN RICHLAND COUNTY, ON
 THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT ON JUNE 11, 2002, AFTER FORTY YEARS WITH THE
 UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT.

TO EXTEND BEST WISHES OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE TO DAVID L. BALL OF BALLENTINE, SOUTH CAROLINA, IN RICHLAND COUNTY, ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT ON JUNE 11, 2002, AFTER FORTY YEARS WITH THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT.

Whereas, David L. Ball of Ballentine in Richland County retires June 11, 2002, from the position of Senior Community Builder with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development; and

Whereas, Mr. Ball joined the department as a printer's helper in 1962; and

Whereas, his forty-year stint included various and increasingly responsible positions; and

Whereas, Mr. Ball worked his way up to the top position in those years of dedicated service; and

Whereas, he was a father of three, Mark, Rhonda Jo, and Steven; and

Whereas, he looks forward to spending some well-earned leisure time pursuing his own personal interests; and

Whereas, his loving wife Henrietta also looks forward to his retirement and the full and happy future they can share. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate extend best wishes to David L. Ball of Ballentine, South Carolina, in Richland County, on the occasion of his retirement on June 11, 2002, after forty years with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Ball.
